HK/ Macau 3-7th dec 08

9am flight Breakfast at T2 Mac + omelette on board while watching the movies which i kept switching about. I missed the front parts of The dark knight and had no idea what the story was about because i cannot pause the movie nor forward nor rewind.
So around 5pm, walk around ladies market and some other markets there.
It was such a long stretch that north, south ,east and west were shops shops and more shops.
It took us 45 minutes to shop along 1 stretch. Such a shopping heaven.
Hong kong street is like a puffing chimney and i lost count of how many times i held my breath when i passed by a smoker. I had no idea how much 2nd hand smoke i had inhaled for those days.

2nd day was the half day HK tour which repeated itself just like 2 years back.
Repulse Bay, Aberdeen , half peak view & some boring jewellery shop. Listening to those at the jewellery shop giving a small talk made me fall asleep. Waste of time as that could have been used for shopping.
The only difference was the heavenly hong kong Dim Sum! Best siew mai and har gao!Though, the food there is abit salty and very expensive.
A typical bow of noodle/ rice costs $5-$9, with big portions. The price range for a normal foodcourt ranges from $7-$10+.
Ended this half day city tour and took a 1 hour ferry to Macau. The weather there is colder and it was like 15 degrees even though it was afternoon. Walked around Fisherman wharf which is just opposite our Golden Dragon Hotel.
The name sounds nice "金“ but, the bed is as hard as gold. Freakingly hard.
Best thing was that i managed to get inside a casino for the first time. Age limit there is 18 years old. Just walked around the hotel casino and i had no idea what those people were playing. The jackpot machines were not up and ready yet so i had no try at it. The inside stinks of smoke smoke and more smoke.

3rd day was the half day macau tour . Macau tower. So, the lift took like 90secs to get to level 58. Up 2 more levels and there are people skywalking around the circumference of the tower. Can't imagine that young kid out there, must be freezing cold. Such a pity i did not get to see anyone bungee jump from the tower.Buffet lunch at fisherman wharf with a variety of lamb, chicken , beef and mutton meat, meat and meaty meal. After which was a walk around Babylon casino , with no try ay t it .
Runis of St Paul's Church and senado sqaure.
I saw a group of people snapping away and i went forward and saw this korean actor whom i do not recognise at all. Anyone knows who he is because i so wana know?
Rest of day was sendao sqaure shopping!

4th day was time to return to HK. The weather that morning wasn't good and the sea was so choppy that it took 15 more minutes to arrive and i was soooo afraid i would get seasick and that would spoil my entire holiday. The ferry was really going left right left right. Really forced myself to sleep and thank goodness survived it.
Remaining day was spent at Lantau Island. About 45mins of MTR ride from Tsim Sha Tsui. The MTR so big that you can find Giordano, 7-11 etc . It can take 15 mins just to get from one destination to another, and after like 2 travellators ,3-5 escalators.
Cable car ride up , scenic views of mountain, and airport.lol. Climbed up the 250+ steps up to the Tian Tian Buddha. The climb was much more 'simplified' compared to the one at vietnam of 800+ steps. Cable car ride down around 530 was beautiful because the sun was setting.
Dinner was ta bao back to hotel because we were rushing to meet our cousins who were also at HK. Aunt came to our hotel room and chit chat. After dinner ,went out at like 930pm and headed for temple street night market. What i like about HK is that their shops operate till late at night like 1130pm. Some eateries are still open even at 11pm. So unlike Singapore where everyone rushes to close shop when it's nearing 9-10pm.

last day was evening flight. One place to go before returning to singapore. To wong tai sin temple.
I think the last two words were printed wrongly. Should have been wong S Y.

Flight back to Singapore. The airport is so big that there are 80 over boarding gates. And ours happen to be gate 65 that is sooooo farrrrr. All separate seats due to full booking. And also thanks to the Internet online check-in. Thus, no window seat at all T_T. And i sat beside this big size man whose elbow seemed to be taking my space. Limited movies to watch and i watched this chinese tale (china ><).

The top center picture is a view that you can see directly to the ground. So, that area where i'm standing is actually a transparent glass that allows you to look down from the 58th floor. Leg shaking
